The Southern Ohio Science Day will be held on March 28, 2020. The competition is open to students in grades 5-12 residing in Gallia, Lawrence, Pike, and Scioto counties. We are inviting you to join us in judging this event.

Orientation will be provided for all judges. Breakfast, lunch, and parking will be provided the day of the event. Judges should plan for a half-day commitment. When you report to the Lyne Center (see main page for directions), please proceed to the main gym foyer for registration.

Judging registration for 2020 will open in January 2020.

Southern Ohio District 14 Science Day 2020 Judges’ Schedule

7:30 am – 8:15 am Check-in
8:15 am – 8:45 am Judges’ orientation
9:00 am – 11:30 am Judging of projects
11:30 am – 1:30 pm Lunch/public viewing of projects
1:30 pm – 2:00 pm Awards ceremony

We ask that judges not plan to leave as soon as they are done judging their initial assigned projects as there may be need for additional judging.

In 2019, District 14 will be participating in a pilot run of new score cards that are in development for state-wide use in 2020. These score cards are available at the links below. Judges’ feedback will be requested regarding these pilot score cards.
